OUR MISSION
Mooto Christian Ministries exists to share the Gospel, strenghthen local churches, train Christian leaders, and serve the people of Mooto and surrounding villages with the love of Christ. Additionally, our mission is uplift the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo—especially those of Mooto and the surrounding villages—through compassionate outreach and the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
A FOUNDATION FOR SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION
The Mooto Christian Ministries is being established as a foundation for spiritual transformation in Mooto and the surrounging communities. Raised in the region, our founder and president, Engobo Mambe, has a personal connection to the people we serve. He donated 11 acres of land and personnally funded construction of the first building at what will become Mooto Ministry Guest House. Engobo carries a deep passion for serving his people and seeing spiritual transformation take root in the Mooto community. His vision is to help create a place where people can draw closer to God. grow in faith, and dedicate their lives to Him.
That vision is called the Mooto Ministry Center—a place dedicated to spiritual transformation and the growth of the Mooto community. It serves as a home for missionaries, a center for Christian training and discipleship, and a gathering place for worship, prayer, and fellowship. Through this center, we seek to cultivate a thriving, Christ-centered environment that meets both the spiritual and physical needs of the people.
MISSION IN ACTION
The work in Mooto is already underway. During our 2022, 2024, and 2025 mission trips with Pastor David Balyeat, Mr. Donald McCartney, and Mr. Joseph Meeham, we spent time in the Democratic Republic of Congo, building relationships and strengthening our commitment to those we serve.
That experience enhanced our commitment to the people of Mooto and deepened our desire to serve. We hope to work alongside the local church, encourage Christian leaders, and respond to some of the community’s most important spiritual needs.
As this work continues, we are committed to building lasting relationships and serving the people of Mooto with care, faith, and purpose.
ABOUT MOOTO COMMUNITY
Mooto is a rural community located in Bikoro Territory, Équateur Province, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central Africa.
The community is home to families whose daily life depends on limited resources and restricted access to basic services. Despite its rich cultural life and strong sense of community, Mooto faces challenges such as limited infrastructure and a shortage of Christian spiritual leaders. Many families have little or no regular access to pastoral care and spiritual support.
Your assistance can make a lasting difference. Through your generous donations, we can strenghten local churches, support Christian leaders and contribute to the spiritual and community development of Mooto.
