OUR MISSION
Mooto Christian Ministries is committed to building a vibrant, Christ-centered ministry that shares the Gospel and transforms lives through hope, love, and faith. We exist to serve and uplift the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo—especially the Mooto and the surrounding villages—through compassionate outreach and the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Our Founder’s Vision
Our founder and president, Engobo Mambe, understands these struggles firsthand. Raised in this region, he carries a deep passion for serving his people. In response, he donated 11 acres of land and personally funded the construction of the first building – laying the foundation for a greater vision.
That vision is the Mooto Ministry Center—a place that will serve as a home for missionaries, a hub for training and discipleship, and a gathering space for worship and community. Through this center, we seek to cultivate a thriving, Christ-centered environment that meets both the spiritual and physical needs of the people.
Our Work
Our journey is already underway. During our 2024 mission trip, our team spent time in Mbandaka, building relationships and strengthening our commitment to those we serve.
These experiences continue to deepen our connection to the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and strengthen our mission to serve faithfully and effectively.
PROPERTY LOCATION
Mooto is a rural community in Bikoro Territory, Équateur Province, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central Africa. Home to over 14,000 people across several surrounding villages, the community relies mainly on agriculture and speaks Lontomba and Lingala. Despite its strong cultural life, Mooto faces limited infrastructure and a shortage of Christian spiritual leaders, leaving many without regular pastoral support. Support from donors can help strengthen local churches and bring lasting spiritual and community development

OUR GOALS
Immediate and Long-Term Goals of Mooto Christian Ministries
- Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Mooto and the surrounding villages, bringing hope, salvation, and God’s Word to every household.
- Plant and strengthen local churches, helping new congregations grow and supporting believers with solid biblical teaching.
- Train and equip local Christian leaders such as pastors, evangelists, and discipleship leaders, so they can guide their own communities in faith.
- Build discipleship programs that help people grow in their relationship with Christ and live out their faith in daily life.
- Reach nearby villages with the Gospel, extending ministry beyond Mooto to those who have not yet heard the message of Jesus.
- Develop a strong and lasting ministry presence by building healthy churches and raising up local leadership grounded in the Bible.
- Show the love of Christ through prayer and service, caring for people’s spiritual needs and reflecting Jesus’ compassion in practical ways.
